I enjoy these characters, but am a little tired of it being drawn out so long. I need to think of the series as installments in a serialised novel, rather than as a series of novels, as each is such a short episode. The primary villan seems to be developing god-like qualities, which is disappointing, and for heaven's sake, get married and do the deed, already! Enough with the orgasmic kisses (if I never read, "...deepening the kiss..." again, it will be too soon.) I'd rather have NO eroticism than repetitive demonstrations of teasing chastity. On the other hand, at least Mary is unlikely to go the way of Anita, turning from goody-two-shoes virginal to vampire sex, overnight. Thank god.
